Actually, it was only an hour or two in the late afternoon, but it was fun! The weather here has made another erratic zig (or zag) and the past couple of days have been swelteringly hot & humid. The kids played remarkably well in the backyard till mid-afternoon, at which point they'd done everything at least 6 times and were gettingh bored and bicker-y. So we went to the beach at a nearby lake and let them work it off. LOL. They had so much fun. Keeping in the holiday mood, we took them out to eat at McDonalds. Needless to say, they were delighted and are probably now dreaming about it all.
